With all this lovely weather we’ve been having I recognise your gardens and commercial spaces will need us, so its good news that we are returning soon.
Lots of work has been happening behind the scenes during these last weeks of shut down. I have been reviewing the advice from Public Health England and the government and have been gaining advice on working in this strange new world we are all living in.
From Tuesday 14th April the way we work will be changing.
- Operating single crewed vehicles only – James and Kevin will be splitting up to allow us to cover all our regular maintenance work whilst maintaining social distancing. To enable us to maintain your garden to the same standard we will be doubling the time we usually spend there. Due to only one person visiting, the costs will remain the same. We’ll be contacting you all soon with new dates and times for your maintenance visits.
- Strict hand washing between customers – before the shutdown, we already implemented this but we will be ensuring it is carried out every time before we start and after we finish at a customer’s property.
- Zero contact on site with customers – to ensure we abide by PHE guidelines we cannot meet you face to face to discuss your garden. The same will go for any site visits / quotations until further notice.
- Phone or email us to discuss your garden / project – we know you’ll want to chat about your garden and tasks you require us to do but we ask you to only do this by phone or email. If you need to contact us on the day then please do so by phone – or we’ll happily shout through a closed window!
In addition to these measures we will be following the strict guidelines that you have all become accustomed to including staying two metres apart at all times. We will follow all of the guidance found on this link https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/
A full risk assessment will be available for those customers who wish to see how we are managing the health and safety of working throughout the coronavirus pandemic.
For the foreseeable future we will be limited to mainly garden and landscape maintenance. Most of our suppliers for timber, fencing, construction materials and plants remain closed or on limited hours. We will try to continue where we can with projects.
We hope you will be looking forward to our return, but if you would prefer we stay away during this time please do contact us and let us know.
PLEASE NOTE - The situation is under constant review and subject to change in line with any new restrictions put in place by the government.
